چکیده

We present new nonlinear differential equations for spacetime correlation functions of Fermi gas in one spatial dimension. The correlation functions we consider describe non-stationary processes out of equilibrium. The equations we obtain are integrable equations. They generalize known nonlinear differential equations for correlation functions at equilibrium [1, 2, 3, 4] and provide vital tools to study nonequilibrium dynamics of electronic systems. The method we developed is based only on Wick’s theorem and the hydrodynamic description of the Fermi gas. Differential equations appear directly in bilinear form. On Kinetic Flux Vector Splitting Schemes for Quantum Euler Equations∗

The kinetic flux vector splitting (KFVS) scheme, when used for quantum Euler equations, as was done by Yang et al [22], requires the integration of the quantum Maxwellians (Bose-Einstein and Fermi-Dirac distributions), giving a numerical flux much more complicated than the classical counterpart. As a result, a nonlinear 2 by 2 system that connects the macroscopic quantities temperature and fuga...

Dynamics of Nonlinear Schrödinger /Gross-Pitaevskii Equations; Mass Transfer in Systems with Solitons and Degenerate Neutral Modes

Nonlinear Schrödinger / Gross-Pitaevskii equations play a central role in the understanding of nonlinear optical and macroscopic quantum systems. The large time dynamics of such systems is governed by interactions of the nonlinear ground state manifold, discrete neutral modes (“excited states”) and dispersive radiation. Systems with symmetry, in spatial dimensions larger than one, typically hav...

Degenerate Quantum Gases and Bose-einstein Condensation

After a brief historical introduction to Bose-Einstein condensation and Fermi degeneracy, we discuss theoretical results we have recentely obtained for trapped degenerate quantum gases by means of a thermal field theory approach. In particular, by using Gross-Pitaevskii and Bogoliubov-Popov equations, we consider thermodynamical properties of two Bosonic systems: a gas of Lithium atoms and a ga...
